The Society of Certified Retirement Financial Advisors™ provides information to retirees so they make better choices. The Society also provides training to financial advisors who assist retirees so that they provide better advice. At the end of the training, all advisors must pass a comprehensive exam, proving their proficiency before being permitted to use the certification mark Certified Retirement Financial Advisor™. Additionally, certificants must complete annual continuing education credits and those credits must be in subjects that impact financial management for retirees:

• Asset protection strategies

• Methods to increase and stabilize your monthly income

• Review and insure adequate insurance protection (property, auto, health, long term care, liability)

• Estate planning review and recommendations (trusts, asset division, IRA distribution tactics)

• Income tax reduction
